Hair Extension Aftercare THANK YOU for choosing Sin City Hair to serve your beauty needs. We want to see you thrilled with your final results and we work hard to ensure that you receive the extension service you deserve!! Please follow these guidelines carefully and to the letter in order to get the most enjoyment and longevity out of your hair extensions. If you have any questions, please call Sin City Hair at (614) 516 - 6393. Do not shampoo hair for 2 days after applying extensions. Shampoo every 2 to 3 days at the most. Sulfate free shampoo is recommended. When going to bed, it is recommended that the hair be pulled back with a soft scrunchee to keep the hair from getting tangled and to avoid pulling the hair. We strongly recommend using a satin or silk pillowcase when sleeping. This will alleviate friction and tangling. Brush or comb using only soft boar bristle brushes and combs. Use gentle strokes to prevent damage to the bonds. Never pull on the bonds. Do not use oil based or silicon based products on hair, as these may weaken the bonds. Be sure to read the labels of all current shampoos or styling products you may be using to see if they contain Silicone, Dimethicone, or any silicone derivative. If these products are present, you bonds may deteriorate causeing premature extension loss. PLEASE read the list of ingredients on all hair care products before use. Do not use products on the hair that contain sulfur, such as dandruff shampoos. We recommend sulfate free shampoo (pureology is a good brand to use). When shampooing and drying, use gentle strokes. Do not use a scrubbing motion. Make sure you completely dry hair in and around the bonds. Shampoo hair as indicated above as soon as possible after swimming, then apply a leave in conditioner. Note: Do not let the bonds remain wet for long periods of time. Shampoo hair leaning your head backwards or forward. This prevents tangling of the bonds. Every two days, run your fingers over each bond, from the scalp own through the ends. This will alleviate "cross tangling". Also, at this time, check to make sure your hair is not dreading between the bond and the scalp. If you find that the hair is dreading, GENTLY comb the hair in between the scalp and bond to remove the dread. If you have a scalp that is more oily than normal, you may need to shampoo daily only at the scalp. If you color your hair at home, avoid allowing haircolor to come in contact with the extension bonds. Avoid touching extension bonds with flat irons, curling irons, or excessive heat from blow dryers. If you have any questions at all, please contact us ay (614) 516-6393.
