Hair Extensions:
Procedures and Methods
The Process

The hair is sectioned
and prepared for the
extension service.
The third photo is a
close up shot of the
extension bond.
Working from
the bottom up,
bonds are
placed closely
together.
After the back is
completed, the sides
are next.  This Photo
shows the finished
product that is now
ready for a haircut.
This effect was
completed in exactly 5
hours.
Application (fusion & Cylinder)

We offer four different methods of damage - free hair extension
applications

1. Hot or Cold Fusion (affixed with adhesive)

2. Cylinder (affixed with silicone sleeves)

3.  Weft (track)

Fusion - pretipped extension hair with a keretin based adhesive is gently emulsified in
order to attach to your hair shaft.  Lasts 4 to 6 months.

Cylinder - Pre tipped hair is attached to your hair shaft using a plastic cylinder to
compress the extension hair to your existing hair.  Can last up to 6 months.

Weft Hair Extensions - A weft is a track several inches long onto which the hair is
already attached (a curtain of hair attached at the top and free flowing at the bottom).
A weft can be made by machine or by hand.  Handmade wefts are better since they
can be custom made to suit you head or match your hair.  The extensions are then
applied by gluing the entire track to your head or sewing the weft into a horizontal
braid.  This method can be damaging, time consuming, and fairly high maintenance.

Clip-in hair extensions - As you probably have guessed, these extensions are held in
with the use of a clip, and can be taken out before going to sleep.
